We are thrilled to share our latest research publication titled "Support Vector Machine Algorithm for Clinical Microwave Breast Cancer Screening and Early Detection," presented at the 2023 IEEE Conference on Antenna Measurements and Applications (CAMA) in Genoa, Italy. This study represents another step forward in our ongoing efforts to validate SAFE's clinical performance in breast cancer detection.
This work presents clinical results for the detection and classification of breast cancer through the microwave imaging device SAFE. SAFE uses novel corrugated Vivaldi antennas to collect data in the frequency range of 0.5-8 GHz. For classification, a Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm is used to analyze the collected data and distinguish between malignant and benign or healthy breast tissue.
